Bulldogs Advanced Skills Camp
Register now for Bulldogs Advanced Skills Camp, where future stars take their game to the next level. This intensive, hands-on camp is designed for aspiring young athletes to refine their skills through expert coaching and personalized instruction. Participants will engage in advanced training techniques, position-specific drills, and competitive games that foster teamwork and sportsmanship. With experienced coaches by their side, campers will not only enhance their athletic abilities but also build confidence and knowledge of the game. PROGRAMMING
Advanced Skills Camp runs weekly for the month of July. The camp curriculum, developed for co-ed campers ages 11-14, is geared toward advanced physical and mental development. Structured to mimic advanced high school and college practices, our camp builds skills through routines that reinforce strong fundamentals and heightened awareness with game situation drills.
Daily routines include:
- Infield warmup routines
- Fielding drills
- Footwork and glovework fundamentals
- Flyball tracking
- Outfield ground ball and throwing mechanics
- Pitching mechanics
- Proper pitching warmup routines and arm care
- Hitting techniques
- Tee work
- Batting practice
STAFFING
Camp is led by Marc Lussier, our Director of Baseball Operations. A former Division I pitching standout, Marc brings to the camp years of baseball experience as a player, coach and program director for all of our Bulldogs travel teams where he oversees baseball programming, coaches and player development.
SCHEDULE
Camp is held Mondays through Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, rain or shine. Camp will move indoors in the event of inclement weather. There is no camp on Independence Day (July 4th).
DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP
Camp is held at the conveniently-located Prospect Park Baseball Fields. The day begins and ends with drop off and pick up at the Lafayette Statue located at the park entrance on Prospect Park West and 9 th Street.
Children not picked up by 3:30 PM (and not otherwise scheduled for extended day programming) will be taken to the 78th Precinct Station at 65 6th Avenue – (718) 636-6411. Campers not picked up by 3:30 PM for a second time will have their registration canceled without a refund.
Please remember to complete the Camp Bulldog waiver designating who can pick up your camper.
DISCOUNTS AND FINANCIAL AID
Registration is open until sessions reach capacity (maximum of 20 campers per week) and we offer multi-week and sibling discounts. Financial aid is also available, space permitting,
WHAT TO BRING
Be sure to pack a bag with your baseball gear, lunch, sunglasses, a full water bottle, sunscreen, and a protective cup for boys or pelvic protector for girls.
HEALTH CONDITIONS
If your child requires medication throughout the day, please pack precise and clear instructions along with a cell phone number for a parent or emergency contact.
Additionally, please be sure to disclose any health or behavioral issues at the time of registration. Do this in our registration form using the ‘comments’ box and please let the coaches know prior to the start of a session.
