Brooklyn Bulldogs
Driven by a strong demand for a professionally-run, elite travel organization the Brooklyn Bulldogs were founded in 1995 and they have been an integral part of our organization ever since. One of Brooklyn's most successful travel programs, the Bulldogs are run by expert coaches with competitive and developmental programming structured around not only the development of technical abilities and game strategies, but also fitness, teamwork and discipline.
We build custom schedules and programs for each of our travel teams based upon age and skill. Individual development is the ultimate goal and we feel strongly that the best way to accomplish that is by challenging our teams to compete against other highly-skilled teams. The Bulldogs do not chase weak teams to increase our trophy count. We train our kids to be stronger, smarter and more skilled by facing elevated competition.
The Bulldogs prepare players for successful high school and college baseball careers by focusing on developing the athlete both mentally and physically; reinforcing proper mechanics; emphasizing the importance of safe and effective conditioning programs; and teaching in-game strategies. In our thirty years, we have produced countless high school stars, over one hundred college players, six professionals and one major leaguer.
KEY DATES AND INFORMATION
We find the best time for young athletes to start travel baseball is in the fall immediately following their age 8 season. Our youngest team is a Rising 9U (also known as an 8U, new 9s) fall team. Our teams include all older ages up to an including 13U, the last year before high school baseball starts to impact rosters and scheduling. While not the norm, we will periodically field older teams (all the way up to 17U) for off-season and tournament play when there are teams looking to stay together through their high school years.
Bulldogs programming runs throughout the year, including indoor training in the winter.
Program Options
Depending upon the level of interest each year, we will program one or two teams at each age division. Each division begins with an Orange team. Orange teams have the most extensive schedules, often including a combination of league and tournament play that may include up to 70 games across spring, summer and fall seasons.
In years where there is enough interest (and enough talented players), we will add a Green team. The Green team is more developmental in nature and they play abbreviated schedules with less travel. Green teams typically play in local leagues with tournament travel and a total of 40 games across the three seasons.
Program Calendar
- June: Registration for tryouts for fall (Rising 9U only).
- July: Tryouts and roster selection for fall (Rising 9U only).
- August-September: Registration for tryouts for next spring (all other age divisions).
- October-November: Tryouts for next spring (all other age divisions).

Travel
Most league and tournament play is within a 60-minute drive; games not in New York City are typically hosted in northern/central New Jersey or Long Island. When there is interest, teams will often participate in one or two larger tournaments in places like Ripken (Maryland) or Sports at the Beach (Delaware).
Player Commitment
Rosters are intentionally kept small to maximize playing time. This means that players committing to a Bulldogs team are required to participate in practices (two or more per week) and game play (two to four games per weekend).

RATES
Rates vary by age group (older divisions include multiple umpires per game) and by team (some teams have more extensive schedules). All fees include background-screened and AED/CPR-certified professional coaches, a minimum of two practices per week and a base uniform package.
