Our youth basketball program offers an exciting and dynamic year-round opportunity for experienced and developing players, alike. PROGRAM INFORMATION AND KEY DATES
Research shows, and our experience confirms, that developing young players before they play in a competitive league helps to promote success in both the short and long-term. This is why we bifurcate our program into two phases.
PHASE I – BASKETBALL ACADEMY (AGES 5 AND UP)
Program Information
- Game basics (how to play the game).
- Fundamental skills (dribbling, passing, shooting and defense).
- Mental strategies (how to play as a team).
- Modified, age-appropriate game play.
- Clinics are hosted in public school gyms; wooden floors, sneakers are required, basketball sneakers and shorts without pockets are recommended.
- All instructors are AED/CPR certified and must past a background check.
- Financial aid is available for families that qualify. Inquire here.
Schedule
- Fall: September through November.
- Winter: December through February.
- Spring: March through May.
- Basketball Academy programs meet once per week on weekends; sessions are 50-80 minutes, depending upon the age group.




PHASE II – RECREATIONAL LEAGUE PLAY (AGES 7 AND UP)
Program Information
- Mandatory player evaluations; assessments include height, weight, skill drills and scrimmages.
- Player draft and team assignments to ensure balanced competition.
- Modified, age-appropriate game play.
- Winter and spring sessions.
- Co-ed and girls-only divisions.
- Games are played in public school gyms; wooden floors, sneakers are required, basketball sneakers and shorts without pockets are recommended.
- Practices are optional with time, place and frequency at the coaches’ discretion.
- All program fees are under $300 per season, include 8-10 games and a team jersey.
- All coaches are AED/CPR certified and must past a background check.
- Financial aid is available for families that qualify. Inquire here.
Winter Schedule
- August: Registration opens.
- October: Mandatory player evaluations.
- November: Player drafts, team assignments, uniforms distributed and schedules posted.
- December: Opening day.
- March: Season-end playoffs and championship games.
Spring Season
- November: Registration opens.
- March: Mandatory player evaluations.
- April: Player drafts, team assignments, uniforms distributed and schedules posted.
- May: Opening Day.
- July: Season-end playoffs and championship games.
