78 Basketball Academy

Looking to improve your jump shot or just in search of a summer filled with basketball? Hit the court this July and register for the 78 Youth Sports Basketball Academy. Our camp is designed for players of all levels, from beginners looking to learn the fundamentals to more experienced players eager to refine their techniques. Under the guidance of skilled coaches, participants will engage in a variety of drills, games, and team-building activities that promote not only basketball skills, but also teamwork and sportsmanship. With a focus on creating a fun and supportive environment, our summer camp is the perfect opportunity for kids to make new friends, improve their game, and enjoy the love of basketball.

PROGRAMMING

78 Basketball Academy runs weekly through July and August. The camp curriculum, developed for co-ed campers ages 9-12, has been designed to teach basketball skills through fun games structured to keep campers fully engaged while reinforcing the skills needed to become a better basketball player. Every aspect of the camp – from initial evaluations to teaching specific skills – is done through games and drills. Additionally, we will work to develop and improve camper athleticism by including a multi-sport experience with games like kickball, flag football and soccer, on the turf at Washington Park.

Basketball themes covered during the camp include:

  • Dribbling
  • Passing
  • Shooting
  • Layups
  • Footwork
  • Rebounding
